The Story of The Lovejoy Cottage

This family cottage was built in 1930 by Frank and Pearl, a young couple who lived in the Lovejoy area of Buffalo, NY. It has been owned by the same family ever since and has always been a place for summer parties, picnics, and get togethers.

In fall 2020, the cottage got a new life, with an entire clean out and gut renovation to the studs. The current owners Jessica and Dan took it upon themselves to repair, redo, and remake the place from top to bottom (with the help of our professional contractors and two little kids in tow of course). Every single part is new – roof, gutters, electric, plumbing, flooring, walls, bathrooms, kitchen, furniture, everything!

But since we value the importance of history, we kept all of the original beds, dressers, other furniture, and vintage memorabilia, which we hope will help you have a meaningful and memorable stay.

It is our wish for you to make your own family memories at this special place in Angola on the Lake by Lake Erie in Western New York State.
